Not[e] Worthy

As of this morning, Typhoon Megi (bagyong Juan in the local term) still hasn't let up. It's been raining since I woke up. See, I don't have any class today and I could very well choose to sleep in and revel in the cozy confines of my room in such a weather. But I have engagements: with groupmates for a class presentation; and with the office where my organization is under for the quarterly quality check. So instead of sleeping in, I had to wake up really early so I could cope with everything I need to accomplish today.

A note, like one in the photo below, indicating an early hour is a staple accessory in our household. I leave it on the dining table where my mom could easily see it. I know, I've heard about alarm clocks but is it my fault I'm such a heavy sleeper? Haha.
Sorry about looking wasted, I can't help it. I've had too many sleepless nights. Haha. And about my hair (I love how I let it dry without having to brush it)... Well let's just say that I hurried out of my pajamas before I completely go lazy and postpone my school responsibilities (doubt it, though). After a quick shower, five text messages said that classes were suspended by 11:20 AM, as CHED says 12:00 NN. Who knew I had to get back into my pajamas as fast as I had to hurry out of them.

The note was useless. I could have slept in, had I only known! *SIGH* Life goes on.

Champorado for lunch. How neat is that!

Chossing Around

You know when you're bored and you make up words cos you think they mean well about something you can't quite grasp? (Bad, bad, bad run-on. Ugh.) Well, I try to be my own Urban Dictionary; here's my word of the day:
chossing around
verb, definition: etchos nang etchos, puro na lang etchos
(No English translation available. Read on to see why.)
For further reference and definition:
etchos
noun/verb/adjective/adverb/gibberish, definition: used to substitute a word, person, place, animal, thing, experience, sensation, and what have you that is explicable or beyond words ; usually identified with gay lingo ; inexplicableness of etymology of word is... well, inexplicable
A short BTW, though: I think I didn't make that up myself. I have a strong feeling that I heard it somewhere, it got stuck in my head, and I blurt it out randomly.

Let me know if I've defined anything the wrong way cos I sure don't know what in Amelia Earhart I have been blabbing about.

Super S[Wet] Si[ck]steenth

As in super WET, because the rain didn't let up until we decided to order in; and as in super SICK because my brother got home from school with a high temperature in tow. Super sweet sixteenth indeed! /sarcasm

You know when a few planned things aren't carried out because of unforeseen circumstances? This isn't what today had been... because what happened today was that everything we planned weren't carried out at all! It poured really hard this afternoon and my brother was sick with fever. Can you really blame anyone? You can't force anything either.

The Plan: Thanksgiving mass, dinner with the family at some restaurant, go somewhere else for cake and other desserts, probably, and head home.

The Output: Stayed home, called up a pizza delivery service, woke up sick brother, took photos, sang Happy Birthday, no cake, no candle, watched TV during dinner.

Disaster? No, not at all. I loved how spontaneous everything was and we still had a great time.
Happy 16th birthday, Gabe! You may not hear me say it but I know that you know that I love you. Hihi. (I was gonna post a family photo but we all looked so eww cos no one bothered to look presentable; pambahay mode! So I deleted it. Haha.)
